Procrastinate

As time keep changing.

The clock is ticking.

So little time left for me here in Sabah.

It has already been 2 years and a half. Today, I'm fighting with myself not to sleep. I'll tell you why. But later. Firstly, I wanna share something that I see during my years in Sabah. You know how people can be so passionate in achieving their degree but not in learning? It happens to most of the students including myself. I don't fully blame on how the education system works. Because it also depends on how the students learn, what are the environments, how the lectures are conducted and etc.

There are so many factors contribute to this problem. However, I would like to focus on a specific one which is the mindset of the student itself. Most students, well, including myself, like to procrastinate. We are very much fond of it and we do this on our daily basis. Sometimes, without even knowing we are doing it. By the end of every semester, we all will be regretting not doing thing earlier than it should be and start to do everything half-heartedly. Even for learning, mostly students will least likely to study earlier than it should be for their examinations. Then, they end up studying late at night, burning the midnight oil, just for the sake of passing the exams. At the end of their years of studies, they achieved nothing because they have poured everything they have learned during their examinations. Isn't it sad? A piece of paper worth more than the knowledge itself? We paid thousands of ringgit just to have that piece of paper only?

My friend once told me that procrastination is a serious disease and it is hard to cure. Scary isn't it? Well, maybe some of you are saying that "What? A disease? Even going to a hospital doing some blood tests won't prove it". That's right. Blood tests won't prove it. Procrastination is actually a psychological disease. I googled it. Y'all have google, right? Use it. It surely can get worse to the point where you will do everything at eleventh hours and you will get so stressed out and you barely can finish all the works in time. You know that stressing up can lead to depression, right? Now that is another psychological problem.

So, how to treat it? I don't even know exactly how. Because I'm still procrastinating right now. I need to study. It is already 1 a.m. and my final exam starts at 9 a.m.

But I think by changing the way yo do the work and changing your workplace will help, I do not know. Do correct me if I'm wrong or help me in providing more information if you know any.

Wish me luck on my final exam. Thanks. Bye.
